The staff was helpful. They checked me in quickly and showed me to my room. The room was clean and had a nice, old-world feel. I ate a lovely meal in the restaurant and breakfast was good the next morning.

My room was small. The bathroom was very small (this was disappointing).

peeling wallpaper constant banging

the breakfast sausage was a cumberland sausage, not what i expected for a yorkshire breakfast. in the room i stayed, wallpaper was peeling. i also heard constant banging from a staff door below until very late at night. this made relaxing difficult.

some issues during stay

expensive parking lack of privacy

the staff member checked me in quickly. she also took me to my room.

the car park uses anpr, and i had to add my car details upon arrival. i wanted to stay longer in the morning, but i worried about getting a £60 fine since checkout is 11 am. i think that's overkill for a pub. plus there was no lock on my ensuite door, a cleaning person knocked while i was showering even with the do not disturb sign on the main door.

filter coffee friendly staff cosy space

the room included amenities such as filter coffee and smarties. the staff members were very friendly. the space felt both clean and cosy to me.

Soundproofing was a slight issue. I noticed some traffic noise.
